Our client, Emma, appointed Markson to carry out a complete bathroom refurbishment at her home in Fishponds, Bristol.

Once we stripped out the original bathroom, the project became more extensive than originally quoted or expected. The team found that sections of the ceiling joists had rotted. So the team needed to address these underlying issues before installing the new bathroom, ensuring the room was properly repaired and prepared for the new finishes.

The team then completely transformed the bathroom to suit the client’s chosen style. The finished space includes distinctive patterned flooring, pink wall tiling, a new vanity unit and sanitaryware, black fittings and a walk-in shower with fluted glass screens.

As the project progressed, Markson also completed several additional improvements throughout the property. These included installing a new boiler, carrying out roof repairs and replacing damaged tiles to help address water ingress and damp.

In the living room, the team also created new fitted alcove shelving and storage around the existing fireplace, including a bespoke TV unit, giving the client significantly more practical storage while improving the room’s appearance.

Throughout the works, the client was kept informed as the scope developed and additional work became necessary.
